MONTREAL (Quebec), July 5 2007 – Alphinat Inc. (TSX-VN : NPA) is pleased to announce that the Quebec ministère des Services gouvernementaux recently acquired a government license to use the Alphinat SmartGuide suite of products. Through this acquisition, the SmartGuide suite will now be available for any Quebec government department or agency wishing to implement on-line solutions that will enable single-entry-point access to their various services.

« Electronic service delivery is the most economical, effective and flexible distribution channel available. The SmartGuide suite significantly minimizes the efforts needed to achieve concrete results, by offering businesspeople access to simple, high-performance tools that they can use to automate their processes, » said Philippe Lecoq, President of Alphinat.

Alphinat began developing its SmartGuide product suite in 2003, with this objective in mind. « We were looking to offer a product that organizations could use to fully and promptly meet their clients’ needs and requests – hence the concept of directed click-streams that guide users through information searches or the completion of formalities with complete accuracy, just as an employee would help them do in person, » continued Philippe Lecoq.

Alphinat software products were used to build the company start-up path available at the government’s business services portal.

Demonstrable results have been achieved since the service was launched. Prior to its implementation, a proponent wishing to open a business would spend two weeks, on average, identifying all of the required formalities. With the use of SmartGuide, this timeframe has been reduced to a few minutes and virtually all errors eliminated.

Alphinat also offers services that meet training, consultancy, support and maintenance needs.

About Alphinat

At Alphinat, we are driven by the passion to make application development easy for everyone. It always struck us as odd that the people with the vision of how a finished application should look and behave would only be involved at the start of the process. After all, what better way to ensure a favourable outcome than to provide those closest to an application’s end-users with a vested interest in its success throughout its development?

That’s why we bring you new ways to empower the right people at the right time in the application development process. At the same time, we’re constantly working to reduce the need to code in order to make application development and maintenance simpler and less error-prone.

So whether you choose to develop your applications with the help of our low-code platform SmartGuide®, kickstart your project using one of our pre-built apps or engage us or one of our partners to do the work for you, we’re here to help you deploy better applications in record time. Visit for more information. We look forward to hearing from you.
